What is Global Warming?

Global warming is the gradual increase in global temperatures caused by the emission of gases that trap the sun's heat in the Earth's atmosphere. Gases that contribute to global warming include carbon dioxide (Co2), methane (Ch4), nitrous oxides (N2O), chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), and halocarbons (the replacements for CFCs).

The progressive gradual rise of the earth's surface temperature thought to be caused by the greenhouse effect and responsible for changes in global climate patterns.

Greenhouse was discovered by Joseph fourier in 1824 and was first investigated quantitatively by Svante Arrhenius in 1896. It is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by atmospheric gases warms a planet's atmosphere and surface.

Global Warming causes and its effects:

Global warming is caused due to various changes and emissions created by humans and also due to the natural changes takes place in the atmosphere.

Man made emissions are countless if we start to look into everything. But the most part of global warming is caused by burning the fossil fuels, which in turn releases huge amount of carbon di oxide into the atmosphere by the way depleting the ozone layer which acts as the natural sun screen layer for our planet earth.

There are lot of ways to reduce green house effect by the way reducing global warming. These details will be available in the next post.
